James - Engineer
James is the youngest member of the Quinntas team. After receiving his degree from SEA Institute in NY, he moved quickly through the ranks at SONY from assistant engineer to eventually mixing his own projects. His familairty with a range of equipment that is usually reserved for the creme of the crop allows James to easily apply his technical skills to any recording project we have. Just as relaxed behind a $100k Neve console as he is with clicking a mouse and mixing "out of the box", James can engineer any sized project with the same proficency.
James is not just an engineer- he has his own band and is an acoomplished songwriter/perfomer and musicam.
Emily - Office Manager
Emily is the glue that holds the whole organization together. An art school graduate and the resident music aficiando, Emily is the one we often turn to when our ears are tired, our eyes are squinted and our coffee has run dry. An expert problem solver, Emily commonly uses the language of the street to opine on a project's progress. "That sounded good... in 1985" is just one of her favourite phrases. While the rest of us spent our youth playing with GI Joe dolls and Lite Brite, Emily was an eight year old painting the backs of demin jackets while listening her Black Sabbath records
When not running the office Emily is frequently found in her art/design studio working on various mind bending projects and singing in glossolalia.
Favourite Bands- Whoever Sean is into now, Emily was into six years ago.
Favourite Producers- Trent Reznor
Favourite Studio Task: Telling it like it is.
Least Favourite Recording Task: Dealing with Sean's mania
Hobbies: Postmodern art, black magik, source light manipulation photography, sustainable material, fashion design, helping recovering alcoholics
